a brief history

Being that I just started this blogging, I thought I might share a brief history of me and my family.

I am 38 years old and have lived in Picayune most of my life. I'm very lucky to say that all of my family lives nearby. I have been married to Darren since 1989 and in 2000 God blessed us with the best thing that ever happend to me. CAMRYN MEILING SPEIGHTS!!! Camryn was 6 months old when we adopted her from China and truly an answer to so many prayers. Being a mother is the best thing!! My little girl amazes me everyday. She will be 8 years old in December and I can't believe how fast the years are going by. Everyone warned me but you just don't realize it till it is happening to you.

Almost a year ago I bought the video store that I have worked at for years and years. I work more now than I used to but I enjoy it. And I'm very lucky that Camryn goes to school about a minute away from here. So if I ever needed to go get her I could be there in no time! Camryn goes to school at Roseland Park Baptist Church Academy. That is the church I was raised in. I attended my 1st church service as a newborn there, I was baptized there, I was married there, my sisters were married there and I am so glad that Camryn is there now. I love the environment of the school. I love that she comes home singing Christian songs and quoting Bible verses that she learns. It's an awesome place to leave her every morning!
